I continue to enjoy the images the iPhone 7’s sensor is capable of capturing in a) the right circumstances and b) when shooting RAW and editing to one’s liking. I’ve been frustrated with the output of the iOS JPEG engine and the lack of dynamic range the images had, typically shooting with a Fujifilm X-Pro2 and some really good glass. For me, the ability to capture DNG on the iPhone has legitimised it as a capable camera again, beyond something for basic snapshots.
That was exhausting. Went for a long ride in my childhood/youth stomping grounds in #Mainz and the surrounding area, riding along the Rhine for a good 15 km. Even made a quick pitstop at my old grammar school. Amazing weather and more gravel roads than I remembered there being.
Bijou, in my girlfriend’s jean jacket, looking at the sunset. She lost so much fur this season and it was very windy on that hill, so we decided to put a jacket on her. I didn’t expect to get this kind of picture out of it. (Shot with the Fujifilm XF23mmF1.4 R, by the way. The link to my small review is still in my bio.)
I wrote a small article about my favourite lens, the utterly boring XF23mmF1.4 R on my site: www.mangochutney.me/the-xf23-… (link in my bio). #fujifilm_xseries #xpro2 #xf23mmf14 /cc @fujifilm.digital.de @fujifilmeu @fujifeed @x100p @mirrorlessgeeks #gearporn #boringlens #photographygear
Pictures from yesterday’s sunset.
Water droplets on Mika’s snout. (iPhone cameras work so well for close-ups.)
Lucky shot of a small flower illuminated by a ray of light.
Couldn’t let this World Bicycle Day pass without going for a ride. Came home late, exhausted, and happy.
